Manufacturing on Mission Nova has ceased, in response to EVE On-line developer CCP Video games.
Initially developed in collaboration with Sumo Digital, the religious successor to PlayStation three free-to-play recreation Mud 514 was scrapped with the intention to “take a step again and return to the drafting board”.
This comes only a month after CCP Video games shared some information involving Mission Nova, which included a teaser trailer, gameplay footage, and registration for an invite-only alpha to be held in November. Due to the cancellation, it is protected to imagine the alpha is not any extra.
“Over the course of Mission Nova’s improvement we carried out a variety of participant analysis periods with exterior companions, tirelessly playtested the sport internally and introduced neighborhood stalwarts in to assist us consider the venture,” explains a weblog put up.
Because of this aforementioned suggestions, CCP says that “the gameplay expertise in its present type doesn’t reside as much as our authentic imaginative and prescient and wouldn’t obtain our bold targets for this venture,” thus stopping improvement.
As an alternative, CCP plans to “take a step again and return to the drafting board, the place we are going to spend extra time determining how all this difficult work can translate into one thing higher and extra significant for the EVE Universe.”
CCP Video games’ total assertion might be learn right here.
